Hi, I'm Jolie! I am an artist from Michigan who is primarily inspired by nature—that is one of the many reasons I call my art business "Wild Soul Studios". I love to spend as much time outdoors exploring locally or going on big adventures—and use this to fuel my creations. Aside from that, my art has always been more on the wild-side with crazy colors & subject matter, & also all over the place with styles & mediums. For a long time I struggled with wanting to find one consistent style & medium to create in. I constantly fought with myself & continued to go back & fourth, jumping around trying to settle. After a while of doing that, I realized that I like the wild side & the inconsistent body of work that I produce. I have too much fun working in multiple mediums & styles to settle down with one (at least for now). However, I have slightly narrowed my range of style and mediums and am figuring out more of what my ideal subject matter & style is—the primary consistency being the connection of nature in my work.  

I have considered myself an artist for about as long as I can remember, I was drawn to creating from a very young age. Once I got to high school, it became more clear that I wanted to pursue art as a career, though the path was never clear and changed quite a bit. Eventually I decided on Graphic Design as my career path (for more "practical" reasons). I attended Saginaw Valley State University and graduated in 2020 with a BA in Graphic Design and a minor in Fine Arts. I currently work full-time as a graphic designer for Earth 2 Earth, a screen printing company in Pontiac, MI. While I enjoy graphic design, my real passion and love is found in fine arts.
